Name: Julie McFadden

Age: 37

Job: Office manager for three companies, which are all under one roof. I oversee all aspects of project and general office administration for HK Construction LLC, and handle inquiries for sales or development, billing and the day-to-day client communications. The other two companies I manage are Keene Realty Development and Keene Engineering. I am currently involved in the development of Page Field Plaza Office Condos.

In the near future: I would like to further my knowledge through courses specific to the commercial construction industry, and primarily gain invaluable on-the-job training. Go to Washington, D.C, finish a 5K run before they start picking up the orange cones, serious consideration of lasik.

Long-term goals: Job wise, the sky is the limit! The uniqueness of our structure and our expertise in acquisition, development and construction allow me a multitude of possibilities. I simply look forward to applying my skills where best suited with HK, and continuing to build Southwest Florida.

Personally, I want to instill in my daughter, Taylor, a strong foundation from which she is enabled to act on opportunity, make good choices in life, and continue to be the bright, kind, confident young girl she is. I also want to catch a monster sailfish in Cabo San Lucas!

Hobbies, interests and activities: Working on home projects and reading. I have many interests ranging from skeet shooting to fishing to watching or participating in just about any sport. I currently co-chair the Fundraising Committee of the Pilot Club of Fort Myers, and am a member of the Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church.

Family: Eight-year old daughter, Taylor, and our 2-year old Boxer, Tyson.

Last book read: “Simple Courage,” by Frank Delaney, and “90 Minutes in Heaven,” by Don Piper and Cecil Murphey.

Role model: My parents. Dad is the example of career success through his 35 years in banking in Lee County. The beauty of Mom is that she was always the support behind the success.

Word of advice: It’s a cliché, but, live life to the fullest. Graciously take advantage of the mulligans God affords you and just do your best each day. And, never, ever, give out a really good fishing spot.
